A stunning and rare colour photograph captures the Glen Albyn distillery, beautifully framing the Muirtown Basin in the foreground.

My thanks to Daniel and the Inverness Facebook forum for sharing this image, which I've enhanced slightly with A.I. to add a touch of polish. This photograph likely dates back to the late 1970s or early 1980s and may represent one of the last glimpses of the distillery, showcasing its iconic warehousing in its final state.

The buildings appear somewhat worn and could have greatly benefited from the traditional practice of whitewashing. Notably, we can also see Glen Albyn presented as a single, cohesive word.
